Heartland Orthopedic Specialists is proud to sponsor the University of Minnesota Morris Cougar Athletes of the Week. The Cougar male and female athletes for the week of November 27-December 3 are women's basketball player Mauren Thiesen and men's basketball player CD Douglas. 

Thiesen led the Cougars in scoring in two contests last week. She scored a season-high 25 points in the team's home opener against Mayville State then followed that with a 19-point effort at Valley City State. She leads the Cougars with 14.9 points/game.

 
In a busy week for the Cougar men, Douglas averaged 18.7 points in three contests. He shot 54 percent from the floor (21-for-39) and missed only one free throw (13-for-14). He was also the team's leading rebounder at 4.7 per game. He leads the Cougars in points (20.4/game), rebounds (5.4/game), and assists (3.1/game).
