COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - After nearly a month after the finish of the indoor track and field season, the Minnesota Morris men's and women's track and field teams opened their outdoor campaign Saturday with a meet at Saint John's.
For the men,
Cole Kvistero had a first place showing in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.47. He also had a sixth place run in the 200 meters (24.55).
Men's results
Aboubakar Doumbouya had two near-first place finishes as they took second place in both the 200 meters (23.55) and 400 meters (52.25).
David Roanhorse also had a runner-up finish as his time of 16:26.98 in the 5000 meters was good for second.
On the women's side,
Emily Ciesynski and
Hannah Goemann each had first place times in their respective events. Ciesynski topped the field in the 400 meters in a time of 62.12 and Goemann had the fastest clocking in the 1500 meters at 4:52.99. Ciesynski also had an impressive third place time in the 200 meters (28.85).

The Cougars are back on the track next Saturday at the Hamline Invitational in St. Paul.
