ST. PAUL, Minn. - Competing against a mixture of NCAA Division II and III, the Minnesota Morris track and field teams took part in the Holst Invite Saturday on the campus of Concordia University-St. Paul.
On the men's side, Mack Ferguson's heave of 147-feet, 2-inches (44.87m) in the hammer throw put him fourth on the all-time Cougar list. Elsewhere,
Shamund Gordon moved up to sixth on the all-time list of a distance of 41-feet, 4 1/4-inches (12.6m) in the triple jump.
Friday, while competing at the Phil Esten Challenge in La Crosse,
Aboubakar Doumbouya moved into eighth in the all-time list with a clocking of 51.67 in the 400 meters.
Results
For the women,
Sami Brinkmann had the Cougars highest placing as her toss of 151 feet (46.02m) in the hammer throw was good for second.
The 4x400 relay team of
Zoe Loucks,
Brooke Hogan,
Tanna Boyle, and
Katherine Novak put in a fourth place time of 4:08.52 which puts them third on the Cougar all-time list.
Also gaining entrance into the program record book were Novak who is now sixth in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:57.25 and
Paige Pederson who's time of 17.36 put her into 10th place on the all-time list.
The Cougars next compete Saturday at the Drake Alternative in St. Peter.
