ST. PAUL, Minn. - The 2017-18 athletic season is three weeks old and there has only been one recipient of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Volleyball Setter of the Week award - Minnesota Morris sophomore
Layne Herrmann.
Herrmann, who is fourth in all of NCAA Division III in total assists with 498, had another stellar weekend. Over four matches, the Brownton, Minn. native tallied 132 assists (10.2/set) which included a 38-assist total against Northwestern on Saturday. She also contributed 18 digs, nine kills, and eight aces.
Herrmann and the Cougars host a UMAC triangular Tuesday against Bethany Lutheran and Martin Luther beginning at 3 p.m. at the P.E. Center.
