Cougars sweep UMAC basketball weekly honors

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Morris swept the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) basketball honors for the week as Noah Grove and Kendra Raths were named UMAC Basketball Players of the Week.

This marks the third Player of the Week nod for Grove this season. Grove's week was highlighted by him becoming the eighth player in program history to record 1,000 career points. Grove topped 20 points in both of the Cougars' win last week. He scored 23 and recorded six rebounds and six assists in the 100-64 win over Martin Luther. He followed with a 22-point performance while pulling down eight rebounds and dishing out five assists in the 96-87 win at North Central.

Raths follows frontcourt mate Abby Van Kempen as Cougars earning Player of the Week honors. The junior scored a career-high 27 points in the team's 74-59 win over Martin Luther. She did a bit of everything in that contest as she also grabbed nine rebounds, dished out seven assists, blocked six shots, and stole three passes. She then recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the team's 79-66 win at North Central.
