ST. PAUL, Minn. - Three players from the Minnesota Morris women's basketball received recognition Wednesday as Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) All-Conference performers for the 2017-18 season.
Junior guard
Elli Stevenson is a First-Team All-UMAC members. Junior forward
Kendra Raths made the Second Team while
Abby Van Kempen is a member of the All-Defensive team.
UMAC release
This marks Stevenson's second straight First-Team All-UMAC selection and third All-Conference nod overall (2016-Second Team). Stevenson led the Cougars in scoring average at 13.0 points/game and in assists at 4.2/game. Her 105 total assists ranks her second in the conference. She ended the season just five points shy of becoming the latest member of the 1,000-point club.
Raths moved up to a Second-Team All-UMAC performer after earning honorable mention honors a season ago. She averaged 12.2 points and 8.0 rebounds a contest while leading the conference in blocked shots with 52.
One block shy of Raths was teammate Van Kempen. She was the conference's leading rebounder at 10.3/game, the only player to average double figures in the category. She added 9.2 points/game to her impressive arsenal.
