Devine has coached three student-athletes to appearances in the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships: Chalmer Combellick (2016), Emily Ciesynski (2018), and Justin Pearson (2018).

Devine began her track career at Logan High School in La Crosse, Wisconsin before going across the river to Winona, Minnesota to run track for Winona State University. She competed in the hurdles, sprints and multi for the Warriors from 2005-2008.

While competing at Winona she set the indoor school record in the 55m hurdles in 2008 with a time of 8.26, a record that still stands after the 2012 season. She set the indoor 60m hurdle record in 2008 with a time of 9.03 and sits third at the moment in the record books. She is also in the top-10 in the record books in three other indoor events, fifth in the pentathlon, seventh in the 60m dash and ninth in the long jump.

She was equally as impressive during her outdoor career setting the school record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.36 in 2007. She is fifth all-time in the 100m dash, sixth in the heptathlon, tied for tenth in the 200m dash and in the long jump. She was also part of relay teams in the 4x100m, 4x200m and shuttle relay that rank in the top ten in Warriors history.

Devine was a NSIC Champion at the 2005 and 2006 Indoor Championships in the 55m hurdles. In 2007 she was the NSIC Indoor Championship High Point Scorer. She was the 100m and 100m hurdle NSIC Champion in 2005 as well as being named the NSIC Outdoor Newcomer of the Year that year as well.
