MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris Cougars (2-3) are back home at the P.E. Center for the only the second time all season after opening up against Concordia Moorhead on November 15. Valley City State (5-1) is in town for a 5:30 p.m. tip on Tuesday. It is the first of two games this week at home for the Cougars.
 
The Cougars are coming off a 1-1 week falling in double overtime against Mayville State and picking up a big win against Presentation College 84-56.
 
Emily Mehr averaged 27.5 points per game last week hitting 57% of her shots from the field. She was also a perfect 8-8 from the foul line. 
Kendra Wycoff added 18 against Presentation and 27 against Mayville State last week.
 
Abby Fragodt helped the team with 18 rebounds and 10 assists along with three blocks and three steals over the two game road trip. Fragodt is the fourth leading scorer on the team this season.
 
Valley City State comes in ranked 19
th in the National NAIA Division II Poll and has a lineup with balanced scoring. Brittany Lehner leads the ways with 14.8 points per game but the Vikings also have four other scorers averaging at least seven points per ballgame. The Vikings shoot 50% from the field while holding opponents to 42.4% from the field.
