MORRIS, Minn. – The Minnesota Morris Cougars (5-7, 3-0 UMAC) played in the UMAC Game of the Week last Friday and this week they have another important game on a Friday night as they host Northwestern (8-6, 3-0 UMAC) in a matchup of UMAC unbeatens at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday they will take on North Central (3-9, 0-3 UMAC) at 3:00 p.m. in the P.E. Center.

UMM is riding a three game winning streak and looks to keep that going against an Eagles team that has won four straight and has won six of their last seven. Northwestern has three scorers averaging in double figures on the year. Mollie Sir leads the way with 14.2 and Chanel Madson is right behind her with 14.2. In addition, Jessica Fife is nearly averaging a double-double with 12.1 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Their offense averages 63.5 points per game and leads the UMAC in three point field goals made with 113 on the year.
North Central comes in riding a four game losing streak and is looking for their first UMAC win of the season. As a team the Rams are averaging 55.8 points per game and unlike like the Eagles, they barely shoot the three, averaging just 2.6 makes per game on 12 shots. However, in UMAC play they have hoisted an average of 17.3 per game. Jorie Grenell is their leading scorer averaging 13.6 per game. Elisabeth Trickey averages 10.8 points per game.
