MORRIS, Minn. – The Minnesota Morris (2-6) basketball team will be back in action for the first time since December 14
th as they head out on the road to take on Valley City State (11-2) on Friday at 5:30 p.m. The Cougars will look to end a three game skid in their final non-conference test before the UMAC schedule begins on January 8
th.

Minnesota Morris and VCSU are familiar with each other after facing off on December 4
th with the Vikings picking up the 60-53 win in the P.E. Center. In the game Kayla Kramer had a team high 16 points on 5-11 shooting. The Cougars had just seven points off the bench as the Vikings bench scored 19.
The Vikings are ranked 17
th in NAIA Division II and come in following a 60-52 loss that ended an 11 game winning streak for the team. It will be the Vikings first game at home since December 7
th and just the fifth home game all season.
This season the Cougars are averaging just less than 62 points per contest and shooting 34.1% from the field.
Kendra Wycoff has 13.9 points per game to lead the team this season and
Emily Auch is pitching in 8.1 per ball game. Since moving into a starting role Auch is averaging over ten points per game, including a career high 16 against Mayville State.
The Cougars kick off their UMAC schedule on January 8
th at home against Crown College at 5:30 p.m.
