Earlier this year the Cougars beat the Storm 98-37 which began the eight game winning streak. In that game
Emily Auch had a career high 23 points.
Abby Fragodt had 17 rebounds and eight rebounds.
Kendra Wycoff had 19 points,
Maja Coomes had 13 points and
Kelsey Erickson and
Carmen Bergstedt each had ten points.
The Cougars held Crown to just 27.9% shooting on the night and allowed just 16 second half points. Ten of those 16 points came from the free throw line. Morris scored 52 points in the paint and had 27 second chance points thanks to 26 offensive rebounds.
Following Tuesday's game the Cougars will travel to take on North Central and Northwestern on Friday and Saturday in the Twin Cities. A 3-0 week and losses by both Northland and Bethany Lutheran would secure UMM a spot in the UMAC Tournament. It will be easier said than done as the Cougars will be on the road for all three games. The Cougars are 5-4 on the road and after this week will have played five straight road games, their longest stretch of the season.
