Box Score MORRIS, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (18-7, 14-0 UMAC) capped off a perfect UMAC regular season with a 71-53 win over Martin Luther on Saturday afternoon. The Cougars will now play St. Scholastica on Wednesday in the UMAC Tournament at 7:30 p.m.

Emily Mehr led the way with 20 points on Saturday, hitting eight of ten free throws in the game. Mehr went over 1,500 career points in the game on Saturday. Kendra Wyoff added 16 and
Kayla Kraemer had 12.
Abby Fragodt had ten rebounds, five points and four blocks.
Kelsey Erickson had nine points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals.
The Cougars overcame a slow first half in which they shot 31.3% from the field and just 2-14 from behind the arc. Morris outscored Martin Luther 9-2 in fast break points in the first 20 minutes of action. The defense held Martin Luther to just 29% from the field in the first half on just 9-31 shooting. MLC jumped out to a 10-2 lead in the first three and half minutes of action. The Cougars pulled within one on a couple occasions but did not take the lead until Mehr hit back to back lay-ups to give UMM the 22-20 lead with 4:14 left in the half. Minnesota Morris finished the first half on a 13-4 run to take a 29-24 in the locker room.
Out of the break Morris scored the first six points of the half to take a double-digit lead 35-24 with 17:50 left in the game. Martin Luther cut the lead to five with under 13 minutes left in the game but the Cougars responded with a 10-0 run to take a commanding 54-39 lead with 8:55 left. The Knights never got back within ten as the Cougars went on to win 71-53.
