MORRIS, Minn. – Minnesota Morris will host Presentation College in a women's and men's double header on Tuesday night starting at 5:30 p.m. It is the final non-conference matchup on the schedule for both teams, with just five games remaining in the season. All five remaining games are at home as the Cougars push towards the UMAC Tournament.
The women have earned a spot in the UMAC Tournament already but still need two wins to guarantee at least a share of the conference title. Currently the men are in a tie for fourth place and have a chance to move up this weekend.
Tuesday's games will feature an opponent the UMM is familiar with. Earlier this season the women beat Presentation 84-56 on the road as four scorers finished the game in double figures. The men won a tight game with the Saints, picking up an 83-79 win. Foss had a game high 20 points to lead the Cougars.
Presentation's women's team is coached by for UMM player and student Alaina Benson. They are 9-9 on the season but have won five of their last seven games leading up to Tuesday's matchup.
The men's team is 12-9 on the year and has won seven of their last eight games. Their roster features many junior college transfers and has four scorers averaging over 9.0 points per game.
