COACHES CHAT REPLAY
This morning Grove took part in the UMAC coaches chat and talked a little bit about his team and the upcoming conference schedule. "We have had our struggles in the non-conference. Hopefully we are ready to put complete games together in conference play," said Grove. The Cougars have seen multiple freshman and underclassmen see a lot of minutes in the non-conference slate, providing them with a lot of time to adjust to the college game. These minutes will help the Cougars compete in a tough and balanced UMAC conference this season.
This season Morris has been able to pick up two road wins which provides some confidence going on the road to start to start conference play.
Kendra Wycoff,
Emily Auch and
Tori Holt are averaging over 7.5 points per game through the first 11 games this season. Both Wycoff and Auch are averaging over 11 points in each contest providing a double threat offensively. Rebounding has also been important this season for the Cougars; they are averaging 39.4 rebounds per game including 13.9 offensive rebounds per game.
After the game with Crown the Cougars will return to Morris next week to take on pre-season favorite St. Scholastica and Northland in their first back to back UMAC conference weekend of the year.
