Women Look For Fresh Start

MORRIS, Minn. - The women's basketball team is looking to get off on the right foot in 2014 after a tough schedule to start the season. The Cougars (2-7) will take on Valley City State (5-6) in Valley City, N.D. tomorrow at 2 p.m. in their second to last non-conference game of the year. They also travel to Presentation on the 7th before heading to Crown next Saturday. WATCH LIVE

Minnesota Morris will look to avenge a loss to the Vikings from December 20. The Vikings were able to control the paint in the win and Morris has had a couple weeks to prepare for the game tomorrow. Emily Auch had 12 points and eight rebounds in the game, an effort that was good enough to earn UMAC Player of the Week honors.

This season Auch is averaging 10.9 points per game, which is nearly six points better than her career average and 4.5 points better than last season. She is also averaging 6.1 rebounds per game, which is nearly two rebounds abover her career average coming into the season.

The game will be the first home game for VCSU since November 22.
