ABERDEEN, S.D. – Minnesota Morris (2-9) started the year off on high not, beating Presentation (8-4) 92-90 for their first road win of the season.
CD Douglas had a career high 23 points on 10-13 shooting and hit the game winning shot to give the Cougars a two point victory.
RJ Dean had 15 points, six assists and five rebounds.

Dylan Erickson each had 12 points on the night.
It was a tightly contested first half but Morris held a slight advantage for a majority of the first twenty minutes. Their lead was as large as nine, leading 35-26 with 5:15 left in the half. The Saints used a 12-2 run to take a one point lead with 2:13 left in the half. Morris used a quick burst to take a six point lead but the Saints pulled within one right before half.
Morris took the lead back early in the second half and used a 9-0 to take a 64-55 lead after six minutes of play. The lead grew to 12 at 72-61 by the midway mark of the second half. The Saints would not go away quietly slowly cutting in the Cougars lead. They would end up tying the game at 82 with 3:43 left in the game. The game would go back and forth and was tied until the final possession of the game. Douglas hit a jumper with one second left in the game to give UMM the win.
Minnesota Morris opens up UMAC play on Saturday against Crown College.
