MORRIS, Minn. – The Morris men's basketball team will head to the cities this weekend to take on North Central (2-3, 1-0 UMAC) and Northwestern (7-1, 1-0 UMAC) in back-to-back UMAC road games. The Cougars (3-3, 1-0 UMAC) are looking to rebound from a tough loss to Saint John's on Monday night in Morris.
North Central snapped a four game losing streak last Saturday by beating Northland 85-75. The Rams have scored at least 73 points in every game this year. Four North Central players are averaging double digit points.
Northwestern rebounded from their only loss of the season by beating Northland and Finlandia last week. The Eagles are shooting over 50% as a team through eight games. Five players are scoring at least ten points per game this year.
GAME NOTES:- CD Douglas (UMAC Player of the Week) is second in the UMAC with 19.2 points per game.
- Douglas and Anthony Fisher rank 2nd and 4th in the UMAC in field goal percentage.
- Morris is looking to snap a four game losing streak to the Eagles; their last win was 59-56 in St. Paul in 2014.
- Since 2001 Morris is 20-3 against North Central but the Rams have three wins since 2011.
- Minnesota Morris is 3-0 when scoring over 80 points.
