FARGO, N.D. - In a tune-up before the regular season begins on Tuesday, the Minnesota Morris men's basketball team traveled to Fargo Sunday night to take on Division I North Dakota State at Scheels Center.
The Bison topped the Cougars 92-62 in a game that counted as a regular season game for NDSU, but was played as an exhibition for UMM.
Minnesota Morris led North Dakota State in bench points 30-28.
Dylan Erickson was key to the edge as he scored 14 off the bench on 5-of-8 shooting, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range. The Cougars shot 44 percent from deep (12-for-27).Â
Tyler Ukkelberg,
John Haseman, and
Noah Grove all scored eight points.
CD Douglas led the team in both rebounds (6) and assists (6).
Paul Miller and AJ Jacobson led the Bison with 18 points each.
Minnesota Morris opens the regular season with a home contest against Concordia-Moorhead Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Jim Gremmels Court.
