MAYVILLE, N.D. – The UMN Morris women's basketball team (3-3) dropped a 69-55 decision at NAIA opponent Mayville State (2-2) Tuesday night. Senior Mia Wassink led the Cougars with a 21-point outing.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With the first quarter in the books, the Cougars led the Comets, 13-8.
- Despite trailing after the first quarter, the Comets responded by outscoring the Cougars, 21-5, to take a 29-18 lead into halftime.
- In the third quarter, the Comets built their largest lead of the game at 44-29 with 4:44 to go in the quarter. With one quarter to play, the Cougars trailed the Comets, 50-38.
- The Cougars opened the fourth quarter with a 7-0 run to bring the deficit to five points at 50-45, but the Comets brought their lead back to double-digits.

- Along with her career-best 21 points, Wassink recorded eight rebounds.
