Box Score SUPERIOR, Wis. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's basketball team (4-11, 1-6 UMAC) dropped an 89-63 decision at conference-leading Wisconsin-Superior (10-6, 7-0 UMAC) Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trading baskets early on in the game, the two teams were tied at 10-all with 15:40 to go in the first half.
- With the score tied at 10 points, the Yellowjackets went on a 10-0 run to take a 20-10 lead over the Cougars.
- The Cougars then went on a 10-2 run to bring the game within two points at 22-20 with just over eight minutes to play in the opening half.
- With the first half in the books, the Yellowjackets held a 39-33 over the Cougars.
- It was all UW-Superior early on in the second half as they used a 17-0 run to build a 56-33 over the Cougars with 15:19 to play in regulation.
- The Cougars were unable to respond to the early Yellowjackets surge as the UW-Superior finished the game with an 89-63 victory.
