ST. PAUL, Minn. – University of Minnesota Morris freshman
Briahna Hensel won UMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for a third time in 2021 on Monday.
Competing against much of the top competition from throughout the North Region of NCAA Division III, Hensel held her own with a time of 23:49.44. That was good for 45th overall in the race and was the ninth-fastest time ever for a Minnesota Morris runner on a 6k course. In UMN Morris' history of competing at UW-Eau Claire, only one runner has ever submitted a better time than what Hensel did on Friday afternoon.
Minnesota Morris will be off from competition this weekend, but will be back at it on Oct. 15 at the St. Boni Invite, hosted by Crown College at 4 p.m.
