MORRIS, Minn. – University of Minnesota Morris Head Softball Coach and Senior Woman Administrator
Heather Pennie-Roy has been promoted and will now add the title of Assistant Athletic Director to her duties within the Cougar athletic department.
Entering her 24th season at the helm of the Minnesota Morris softball program, Pennie-Roy has long been a member of the administrative team as the department's Senior Woman Administrator. With her promotion to Assistant Athletic Director, Pennie-Roy will continue to lead the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), assist in game management duties at home UMN Morris contests, and work with student-athlete eligibility.
"Heather's commitment to Cougar Athletics is second to none," said Director of Athletics
Matt Johnson. "She continues to provide outstanding leadership to Cougar student-athletes through her important roles as Senior Woman Administrator and Student Athlete Advisory Committee advisor. The 2022 season is coming up soon for Minnesota Morris softball. The full schedule will soon be finalized and the year will begin with a trip to Florida for 14 varsity contests over Spring Break.
