WAVERLY, Iowa – The University of Minnesota Morris sent three throwers to Wartburg College for the last chance meet hosted by the Knights on Saturday. Ultimately, none of the three Cougars were able to surpass their previous PRs from earlier in the season.
For the women's track & field team,
Hailey Gill competed in the weight throw and had a best throw of 40-2.00 (12.24 meters), finishing 19th in the field.Â
For the men's team, Cody Nye and Bryan Zepeda took part in the shot put. Nye was ninth with a distance of 47-4.25 (14.43 meters), while Zepeda was 17th at 41-1.50 (12.53 meters).Â
With no one from Minnesota Morris likely to qualify for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, the Cougars will next be in action when the outdoor season begins on March 26 at the Saint John's Invitational.
