Schedule Changes Finalized for Multiple Events This Week

Weather and playing conditions are affecting baseball, softball, and men’s and women’s track & field in the coming days.

MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris has finalized multiple changes across a variety of sports over the upcoming days.

For Cougar baseball, a home game with Crown College on April 13 will stay as a "home game," however it will be played on Crown's field in St. Bonifacius starting at 3 p.m. The weekend will still include a trip to play the University of Wisconsin-Superior, but the three-game series will now start with a doubleheader on Friday at 2 p.m. The following day, the series will wrap with a 4 p.m. contest at Wade Stadium in Duluth.

For softball, tomorrow's doubleheader at North Central University is on track to proceed as planned with a start time of 3:30 p.m. in Minneapolis. The Cougars will then stay in the Twin Cities to play UW-Superior on Thursday at the West St. Paul Dome starting at 12 p.m. in place of the originally-scheduled weekend trip to Wisconsin.

Minnesota Morris track & field has found a meet to replace the Al Cassell Open in Jamestown, N.D., which was scheduled for Thursday but has been canceled. Instead, the Cougars will send a group to the Tomcat Twilight, hosted by the University of St. Thomas on Wednesday afternoon. The Cougars have also added a trip to the University of Minnesota on April 20 for the Brave Like Gabe Twilight and have removed the NSU Open on their schedule for April 23 and will instead head to Northfield for the Carleton Relays.
