FRISCO, Texas – University of Minnesota Morris senior men's golfer
Orion Collins was accepted into the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship, held from May 2-4 near Philadelphia. The tournament annually hosts student-athletes enrolled in Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, and other Minority-Serving Educational Institutions.
This year's 54-hole tournament is hosted by The Union League of Philadelphia and will be held on two different courses in the area. Collins will play his first and final rounds at Union League Liberty Hill in Lafayette Hill, Penn., with his second round to be played at The Union League Golf Club at Torresdale in Philadelphia.Â
Though the tournament will feature a team competition with 10 NCAA Division I and Division II programs competing in the event, Collins was one of just 28 individuals who was accepted to play in the tournament and will be one of only two Division III golfers in the field.
