WINONA, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's track & field team continued its outdoor season on Saturday at the Saint Mary's Invitational. The Cougars had a number of noteworthy performances at the unscored meet.
On the track,
Maggie Landwer led the way in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 14.31 seconds to finish 13th.
Paige Diekmann ran a 29.60 in the 200 Meter Dash to cross in 17th place. In the 800 Meters,
Ilsa Hoaglund finished 16th in 2:44.54. Finally,
McKenna Langerud was 10th overall in the 1,500 Meters, clocking a 5:26.03.
Landwer pulled double-duty in the long jump and came in eighth with a distance of 13-11 (4.24m).
Kim Peters competed in the triple jump and finished fifth with a best effort of 30-9.25 (9.38m).
Sheena James added a 10th-place finish in the high jump by clearing 4-1.25 (1.25m).
Among the throwers,
Kassidy Siedow had the best Cougar finish of the day by claiming third in the javelin with a distance of 108-8 (33.13m).
Jennifer Steinbring was 13th in the discus with a throw of 105-11 (32.28m).
Anna Briggs was the top Minnesota Morris competitor in two events, taking 14th in the hammer throw (107-8, 32.81m) and 15th in the shot put (31-11.25, 9.73m).
Next Saturday sees Minnesota Morris send split squads to the Carleton Relays in Northfield, Minn. and the Phil Esten Challenge in La Crosse, Wis.
