MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris athletic department is grateful to all those who donated to make the first-ever Cougar Days of Giving an incredible success!
Each of our 19 athletic programs, as well as representatives of the Cougar Club and the Health and Wellness department, were asked to identify two items that would have an immediate positive benefit for their student-athletes. At the conclusion of the two-day event on Wednesday night, seven of those items had been fully funded. Those seven items are:
- Women's Basketball uniforms
- Golf tournament entry fees
- Men's Soccer training system
- Tennis indoor netting
- Tennis ball hoppers
- Volleyball uniforms
- Volleyball net system
When the second day of giving ended on Wednesday night, the total amount of funds raised between all the programs was $32,000. Since Wednesday, the fundraising has continued and $35,433 has now been donated to help Minnesota Morris athletics.
While Cougar Days of Giving may be over for the 2023-24 year, the home page will remain active and donations can be made at any time to the items that are not yet fully funded.
