ST. PAUL, Minn. – University of Minnesota Morris first-year guard
Maddy Grove won her second UMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week award on Tuesday after her play led the Cougars to a pair of wins last week and ran the team's overall winning streak to seven games.
In a 79-50 midweek non-conference win over Trinity Bible College, Grove had 22 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Resuming UMAC play on Saturday, she poured in 29 points in a 71-39 romp over Crown College and once again added seven rebounds along with a pair of assists and two steals. For the two contests, Grove shot .500 (20-of-40) overall from the field.
Minnesota Morris looks to remain at the top of the conference standings this weekend as it goes on the road, facing Martin Luther College on Feb. 2 at 5:30 p.m. and Bethany Lutheran College on Feb. 3 at 3 p.m.
