Women's Golf Puts Two on All-Conference Teams

MORRIS, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Morris Women's Golf program placed two members on All-Conference teams for the Fall 2024 season. Day earned a Second Team place, while Selig was named to the Honorable Mention team.

Day, from Walker, Minn., led the Cougars in scoring in the five rounds she played on the season. Her lowest round of the season came in at 84 while she averaged a team-best scoring of 87.6 Day earned all top five finishes this season, finishing out t-3rd at the UMAC Women's Golf Championship with a score of 263 (+47).

Selig, a product of Rochester, Minn., played seven rounds for Minnesota Morris this fall. She notched a low score of 86, while scoring an average of 89.29 on the season. Selig took top ten finishes in every meet she competed, and secured an eighth place finish shooting 274 (+58) at the UMAC Women's Golf Championship to earn her spot on the Honorable Mention team. 

The UMAC also names one person from each team as the winner of a Sportsmanship Award from the conference. This year's winners for the Cougars were Gabe Long on the men's side and Selig for the women's team.
