MORRIS, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Morris Cougars Women's Basketball team unveils their 2024-25 schedule, which includes 11 games to be played on James Gremmels Court. The Cougars look to defend their UMAC Tournament Championship this season.
The Cougars will kick off the regular season at the St. Benedict's Tournament with matchups against College of Saint Benedict (Nov. 9, 1 pm) and Hamline University (Nov. 10, 1 pm). The home-opener for women's basketball will take place Nov. 12 against Concordia College (7:30 pm). Heading on the road, Minnesota Morris will play Nov. 18 and 19 against Oak Hills Christian College (5:30 pm) and Bemidji State University (5:30 pm). The Cougars will battle with St. Olaf College (Nov. 23, 2 pm) before heading to Mayville State University (Nov. 26, 5:30 pm). Minnesota Morris will finish non-conference play with games on Dec. 3, 7, and 31 against Mayville State (7:30 pm), Oak Hills Christian (3 pm), and St. Catherine University (2 pm) respectively.
The Cougars will host Martin Luther College (Jan. 8, 7:15 pm) to open up their conference schedule before heading on the road to play Northland College (Jan. 11, 2:45 pm) and North Central University (Jan. 15, 7:15 pm). Women's basketball will come back to James Gremmels Court on Jan. 18 to take on the University of Northwestern (4:45 pm). The Cougars will head to Trinity Bible College (Jan. 20, 5:30) before resuming conference play with a home game on Jan. 22 against Crown College (7:15 pm). Closing out the first half of conference play, Minnesota Morris will head on the road to the University of Wisconsin - Superior (Jan. 25, 4:45 pm) and Bethany Lutheran College (Jan. 29, 7:15 pm).
Heading into the second half of conference play, the Cougars will take on Northland at home (Feb. 1, 2:45 pm) followed by back-to-back road games at Crown (Feb. 5, 7:15 pm) and Northwestern (Feb. 8, 4:45 pm). Minnesota Morris will take their home court Feb. 12 against North Central (7:15 pm) followed by a road game to Martin Luther (Feb. 15, 2:45 pm). The Cougars will wrap up the regular season with two tough games at home against Bethany Lutheran (Feb. 19, 7:15 pm) and UW-Superior (Feb. 22, 4:45 pm).
The top four teams in the UMAC standings at the conclusion of the regular season will advance to the UMAC Tournament. This year's UMAC Tournament semifinals will be held on Feb. 26, followed by the championship match on Mar. 1.
