MORRIS, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Morris men's soccer team had three players named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team® this Tuesday. With this honor Nick Isensee, Cooper Jones, and Jacob Lee are now on the ballot for Academic All-American® honors.
Isensee, a junior goalkeeper from Shakopee, Minn., came into the season with a cumulative GPA of 3.56. He will graduate in spring of 2026 with a degree in criminal justice. Isensee totaled up 143 saves on the season to smash the single-season saves record for men's soccer and earned a place on the All-UMAC Second Team.
Joenes, a senior midfielder from Mankato, Minn., holds a cumulative GPA of 3.97 and will graduate in the coming spring with a degree in sport management and a minor in spanish. He scored five goals on the season and made two assists for the Cougars to find a spot on the All-UMAC Second Team.
Lee, a junior defender from New Prague, Minn., will graduate in the spring of 2026 with a degree in financial and organizational management. He came into the season with a cumulative GPA of 3.88. Lee scored two goals and earned one assist on the season.
The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
