EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's track & field team had its final meet ahead of the UMAC Outdoor Championships on Saturday at the Dick & Mary Johnson Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The Cougars only had a few individuals entered into running events on the day. The top times in those events came from
Julia Gorden Mercer in the 100 Meter Dash (14.41),
Paige Diekmann in the 200 Meter Dash (29.92),
Ilsa Hoaglund in the 800 Meters (2:53.66), and
Nibras Luqman in the 400 Meter Hurdles (1:26.62).
Kim Peters took part in both the long jump and triple jump, posting leaps of 15-9.50 (4.81m) and 32-7.50 (9.94m), respectively. In throwing events, top honors went to
Natalie Enright in the discus (109-10, 33.47m) and javelin (85-2, 25.95m), and
Siri Overturf in the hammer (131-4, 40.04m).
Minnesota Morris serves as the host of the UMAC Outdoor Championships on May 3-4. Action begins at 2 p.m. on Friday and continues at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
