COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Morris women's track & field team battled at the Saint John's University Alumni & Friends meet. The Cougars came together for a fifth place finish, and had seven women score points for Minnesota Morris.

Nibras Luqman kicked things off with an 8.94 in the 60 meter dash to take seventh place. Elizabeth Frias followed that with a fifth place finish in the 200 meter dash (30.03). In the 400 meter dash, Lindsey Hause (1:08.06) took ninth place. 

Keeping things rolling, Zoe Hoaglund notched a 2:59.91 in the 800 meter run for a 12th place finish. 

Amaya Willis threw 34-08.25 (10.57m) in the shot put to take fourth, the Cougars highest finish of the day. Siri Overturf followed her teammate's performance to fourth place finish of her own in weight throw with a toss of 42-00.00 (12.80m). 

Minnesota Morris will head to Mankato, Minn. for the Mark Shuck Open and Multi Jan. 31 - Feb. 1 to continue with their indoor season.
