Cross Country Competes at the Haunted Hustle on the Hill on Saturday

MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris cross country teams will travel to Northfield, Minn., on Saturday to compete in the Haunted Hustle on the Hill, held at the St. Olaf Cross Country Course.

The men's 8k race is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the women's 6k race at 11:30 a.m.
 
The Cougars competed last week at the Kent Finanger Invite, where both races were 4ks. Seven of the eight Minnesota Morris runners set new personal bests for that distance. Noah Johnson led the men with a time of 14:07.4, finishing 40th, while Sylvia Pesch placed 16th in the women's race with a time of 16:17.7.
 
This will be the second time this season the Cougars compete at the St. Olaf Cross Country Course. On Sept. 20, seven UMM runners recorded personal bests on the course.
 
The women's team will consist of seven runners: Pesch, Lindsey Hause, Hannah Robertson, Abhi Seelam, Natalie Enright, Nibras Luqman, and Sydney Roy. Enright, Luqman, and Roy will be making their season debuts in cross country.
 
The men's team will include seven runners: Johnson, Connor Bickford, Reese Bickford, Daniel Decory, Tyler Franke, Ethan Koehler, and Ethan Lauritsen.
