MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris cross country teams will get their first look at the NCAA Regional course when they compete at the Blugold Invite on Friday morning in Eau Claire, Wis., at the Whitetail Golf Course.

Due to heat, the races have been moved to the morning. The men's 8k race will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the women's 6k race at 10:15 a.m.

Two weeks ago, the Cougars competed at the St. Olaf Invite.
Sylvia Pesch led the women's team, setting a new personal best of 25:05.1. In total, three runners on the women's side set new personal records. On the men's side,
Noah Johnson led the team with a time of 30:25.6 in the 8k, with four runners achieving personal bests.

At last year's Blugold Invite, Pesch and
Tyler Franke recorded the fastest times for the Cougars on their respective teams.

This year, the women will have three runners competing as individuals: Pesch,
Lindsey Hause, and
Ava Miller. All eight runners on the men's team will be in action: Johnson, Franke,
Connor Bickford,
Reese Bickford,
Daniel Decory,
Ethan Koehler,
Ethan Lauritsen, and
Aidyn Yerkin.
