Morris, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris Athletic Department is excited to announce the return of Men's Tennis, beginning in the 2026–2027 season announced on Tuesday October 28.
 
"I am excited for men's tennis to rejoin our sport offerings here at UMN Morris," said Athletic Director Matt Johnson.  "We are committed to providing competitive experiences for our student-athletes, and the return of men's tennis only strengthens our footing in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC)."
 
The Men's Tennis program has been on pause for the past two years but will return in the 2026–2027 season. Dimitri Sofias will serve as head coach for both the Men's and Women's Tennis teams.
 
The Cougar Men's Tennis team has produced 10 UMAC All-Conference Award winners, five UMAC Athletes of the Week, and one UMAC Championship to date.
