BECKER, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's golf team finished sixth at the three-day Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Championship, held at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minn. Senior
Mathias Warrington led the Cougars, carding a 242 (+26).
The University of Wisconsin-Superior won the team title with a score of +49, finishing six strokes ahead of second-place Bethany Lutheran College. After three rounds of play, there was a three-way tie for the individual title, with Andrew Rude of UW-Superior winning the playoff to claim medalist honors.
Minnesota Morris placed sixth out of seven teams with a team score of +140. Warrington paced the Cougars with a total score of 242 (+26), tying for 20th overall. He recorded two birdies during the tournament.
Aaron Nack followed with a 251 (+35), tying for 23rd and also carding two birdies.
Gaven Brown rounded out the top three for UMM, finishing with a 257 (+41) and a team-leading four birdies.
