ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's swim and dive team earned their first victory of the season with a 151-74 win over Hamline University on Saturday in St. Paul, Minn.

Riley McKenzie opened the scoring for the Cougars with a second-place finish in the one-meter dive. In the next event,
Austin Dunn,
Dillon Thorstad,
Max Lundgren, and
Jakob Linscheid won the 400-yard medley relay.
Ben Caron followed with a victory of his own in the 200-yard freestyle.

First-place finishes continued for UMM as Thorstad and
John Gulon won the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard IM, respectively. Caron and Gulon added another pair of top finishes to the Cougars' total.

In the final relay of the meet, Gulon,
Ethan Bad Heart Bull, Thorstad, and Caron claimed first in the 800-yard freestyle relay. Bad Heart Bull closed out the meet with a win in the 1650-yard freestyle.

The Cougars host their first home meet of the season on Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. as they welcome Morningside University.
