WINTHROP, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's cross country team finished fifth out of six teams at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon in Winthrop, Minn.
Sylvia Pesch led the Cougars with her best finish of the season, placing ninth.

The University of Northwestern won the meet with 30 points. Ella Dufault of Crown College claimed the individual title with a time of 23:12.8 in the 6k race. The Cougars finished fifth overall, with Pesch running a personal best 24:19.6.
