ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's swim and dive team earned its second straight victory with a 158-59 win over Hamline University on Saturday in St. Paul, Minn.
Brynna York opened the meet with a first-place finish in the one-meter dive. In the first team event,
Rhio Fay,
Kaitlyn Mello,
Sam Haaf, and
Faith Hamm won the 400-yard medley relay.
Kennedy Olson followed with a top finish in the 200-yard freestyle.
McKenna Falak,
Eve Zimmerman, and
Rylie Wendt swept the top three spots in the 50-yard freestyle.
Shannon Dougherty continued the first-place streak with a win in the 100-yard IM, and Haaf earned her first individual victory in the 50-yard butterfly.
Dougherty and Fay each added event wins in the 100-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle, respectively. York secured another top finish in the three-meter dive. In the final relay, the team of Fay, Falak, Hamm, and Dougherty won the 800-yard freestyle relay.
Natalie West closed out the meet with a victory in the 1650-yard freestyle.
The Cougars host their first home meet of the season on Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. as they welcome Morningside University.
