ST. PAUL, Minn. – For the second week in a row,
Maddy Grove of the University of Minnesota Morris women's basketball team has been named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Athlete of the Week for the period of Nov. 17–23, as announced Tuesday, Nov. 25.
Grove had a milestone week, surpassing 1,000 career points in the win at Trinity Bible College. The Morris native led the Cougars offensively with 55 points across three games, averaging 18.3 per game. Against TBC, Grove scored a season-high 28 points in the 100–49 victory. To start the week, she tallied 17 points, three steals, and one block against Division II Bemidji State University. Grove closed out the week with nine steals, five rebounds, one assist, and one block.
The women's basketball team plays next on Saturday as they travel to the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire for a 2 p.m. tipoff.
