MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's and women's swim and dive teams will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D., for the Augie Invite, taking place Thursday, Dec. 4 through Saturday, Dec. 6.

The Cougars were last in action two weeks ago when they hosted Morningside University for their first home meet of the season. The women won their third consecutive meet, topping the Mustangs 132–55. The men fell in their meet, 125–96.

McKenna Falak helped lead the Cougar women with two individual first-place finishes in the 1,650-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke. Additional first-place finishes came from
Faith Hamm,
Shannon Dougherty,
Kennedy Olson,
Sam Haaf,
Rhio Fay, and
Kaitlyn Mello. The meet was capped off with another top finish, this time by the relay team of Fay, Falak, Hamm, and Dougherty in the 200-yard freestyle.

On the men's side,
Ethan Bad Heart Bull set a new pool record in the 1,650-yard freestyle, winning the event.
Ben Caron followed with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle, and
John Gulon added another first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle. In diving,
Riley McKenzie won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events.
Dillon Thorstad recorded the final UMM first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke.

The last time the Cougars competed in the Augie Invite was during the 2023–24 season. The men placed fourth out of five teams, while the women finished 10th out of 11 teams.
