MANKATO, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's track & field team finished fifth out of seven teams in their first meet of the season at the Chuck Petersen Open Friday night in Mankato, Minn.
To open the track events,
Nibras Luqman competed in the 60-meter preliminaries and recorded a time of 8.64.
Lindsey Hause followed with a second-place finish in the mile, clocking a time of 6:44.27.
Lilly Ronholdt set a personal record in the 800 meters, finishing fourth with a time of 2:57.64.
In the field events,
Amaya Willis and
Siri Overturf placed 12th and 14th, respectively, in the weight throw.
Natalie Enright recorded a 15th-place finish in the shot put, with
Samantha Dotzenrod close behind.
The Cougars compete next on Jan. 17 at the Ole Opener in Northfield, Minn.
