SIOUX FALL, S.D. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's swim and dive team finished sixth out of seven teams at the three-day Augie Invite hosted by Augustana University in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Day 2
The first event of day two was the 200-yard medley relay, where the team of
McKenna Falak,
Kaitlyn Mello,
Sam Haaf, and
Faith Hamm led the Cougars. In the 100-yard butterfly, Haaf recorded the top UMM time at 1:06.28. In the 400 IM,
Rhio Fay posted a time of 5:10.69, dropping seven seconds from her preliminary swim. Falak added another strong performance for UMM in the 100-yard breaststroke.

In the 200-yard freestyle, Hamm recorded the top Cougar time at 2:11.80. To close out day two, Fay swam a 1:06.17 in the 100-yard backstroke.

Day 3
On the final day, the team of Fay,
Shannon Dougherty, Hamm, and Haaf placed 12th in the 800-yard freestyle relay. In the one-meter dive,
Brynna York finished eighth with a score of 290.60. Falak continued to pace UMM with the team's best finish in the 1650-yard freestyle, swimming a 19:26.21.
Rylie Wendt delivered the top Cougar finish in the 200-yard backstroke.

Falak set a new program record in the 100-yard IM with a time of 1:04.92. Fay and Hamm reached the finals in the 100-yard freestyle, with Fay posting a time of 57.35. In the 200-yard butterfly, Haaf,
Haidyn Friborg, and Dougherty all qualified for the finals, with Haaf posting the top time for UMM in the final. In the last event of the meet, the team of Falak, Fay, Hamm, and Dougherty placed 18th in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

The Cougars are back in action on January 10 as they compete at Morningside University.
