RACINE, Wis. - The University of Minnesota Morris men's swimming & diving team took home a fifth place finish at the Liberal Arts Championships in their second year of the program. The Cougars celebrated the day with one trip to the podium, three school records, and a multitude of lifetime and season bests for the student-athletes.
John Gulon made his second individual trip to the podium after swimming a time of 1:55.63 in the 200 Yard Backstroke. Gulon's performance secured him third place in the race.
Setting another school record,
Dillon Thorstad dropped a time of 2:19.74 in the 200 Yard Breaststroke.
Riley McRoberts set his first school record in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:09.27. To cap off the Minnesota Morris school record setting, the relay of
Austin Dunn, Gulon,
Ryan Erickson, and
Josh Miller swam the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay in 3:14.93 to shatter the previous record.
