Women’s Track & Field Comes Away From Gene Glader Classic with Multiple Top Finishes

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Morris women's track & field team posted eight top-five finishes over the weekend while recording multiple personal records amongst the team.

Nibras Luqman got things rolling for the Cougars with a personal record of 8.54 in the 60 Meter Dash to mark a second place finish. Keeping things going on the track for Minnesota Morris, Elizabeth Frias marked a personal record of 2:48.42 in the 800 Meter run to finish in second. Zoe Hoaglund finished fifth in the mile with a time of 6:43.23, while Sylvia Pesch finished the 3000 Meter race in 11:47.12 to finish second. Eve Zimmerman rounded out the top finishes on the track for the Cougars with a fourth place finish in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 11.95.

Natalie Enright marked a personal record of 11.24m in the Shot Put to finish fourth on the day. Lindsey Hause took fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.40m. Brynna York made her collegiate debut on the track, marking a vault of 3.05m in the Pole Vault to take second and tie for fifth in the school record book.

Minnesota Morris will head to Superior, Wis. next week (Feb. 28 - Mar. 1) to finish out the indoor season at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.
