The Cougars broke the scoring open in the second inning as

Faith Hamm led the Cougar defense with four putouts each.

Going scoreless until the seventh inning, the Cougars trailed by four points and looked to make up some ground in the bottom of the seventh.
Marissa Anderson got the scoring going, coming in to pinch run for Minnesota Morris and scoring on an RBI from
Kendra Schmitz. Johnson was the other Cougar to cross home plate, taking advantage of a pass ball to score the second run of the game. Despite having momentum on offense, Minnesota Morris was unable to put any more points on the board.
