SAINT JOSEPH, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Morris went head-to-head against a tough field of competition at the CSB/SJU Invitational, coming away from the day with eight top-ten finishes and five personal records. The Cougars will wrap up the week at the Carleton Relays in Northfield, Minn. Apr. 19.
Izayah Boss kicked things off with a third place finish in the 100m, crossing the finish line in 11.11. All three Cougars to run the 400m recorded top-ten finishes on the day.
Noah Johnson secured fourth place with a personal record time of 53.08.
Azariah Zappetta crossed with a time of 54.81 to take sixth.
Ethan Koehler finished just behind his teammate in seventh place, running a time of 1:00.45.
Evan Barnett secured fourth in the High Jump with a final height of 1.80m (5-10.75).
William Urch and
Kincade Eisenbacher earned sixth and seventh in the Javelin Throw, marking distances of 38.83m (127-04) and 17.79m (58-04) respectively. Tyler Franke was the final top-ten finish for the Cougars, finishing seventh in the Pole Vault with a final height of 3.07m (10-00.75).
