SAINT JOSEPH, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Morris went head-to-head against a tough field of competition at the CSB/SJU Invitational, coming away from the day with ten top-ten finishes and five personal records. The Cougars will wrap up the week at the Carleton Relays in Northfield, Minn. Apr. 19.
Lindsey Hause was the first Cougar to record a top-ten finish, earning a personal record in the 3000m Steeple with a time of 13:59.59 to secure fifth place. Three athletes in the Hammer Throw secured top-ten finishes starting with
Jordan Ohman-Bjork who finished seventh with a personal record distance of 40.12m (131-07).
Siri Overturf earned ninth place with a toss of 38.37m (125-10) while
Anna Briggs finished tenth with a throw of 38.36m (125-10). Hause kept things rolling with an eighth place finish in the High Jump as she cleared 1.35m (4-05.00).
Brynna York continued her impressive pole vault performance with a vault of 2.95m (9-08.00) to take sixth place and spring her way to fifth all-time at Minnesota Morris.
Siri Overturf recorded a vault of 2.65m (8-08.25) to finish in eighth on the day. In the shot put,
Natalie Enright and
Kylie Elmes earned sixth and tenth with tosses of 11.19m (36-08.50) and 10.68m (34-02.75) respectively.
Sheena James wrapped things up with a fifth place finish in the Triple Jump as she jumped 8.29m (27-02.50).
