MORRIS, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Morris men's swimming & diving team had two athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team® this Tuesday.
Louis Freeman and
Jakob Linscheid have received this award for their accomplishments both in the classroom as well as in the pool.
Freeman, a junior from St. Cloud, Minn., is studying Psychology at Minnesota Morris and holds a 3.53 GPA as a student-athlete. He wrapped up this season at the Liberal Arts Championships (LACs) with top 10 finishes in the 200 yard freestyle relay and the 200 yard medley relay.
Linscheid is a sophomore hailing from Apple Valley, Minn. He is studying computer science and math, holding a 3.52 GPA. Linscheid earned top 10 finishes in the 100 yard breaststroke, the 200 yard medley relay, and the 200 yard breaststroke for the Cougars at LACs this season.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's Swimming & Diving Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
